friday flowers...

So  pretty!  They are the perfect addition to any summer table.

I'm obsessed with these colors right now (in part because they are the "wedding colors" for the wedding I'm working on) they are so vibrant and warm.  I can't wait to see all the flowers and decor come together this weekend. I promise plenty of photos to follow!

chirp chirp...

Look what I got!  My Mom surprised me with a new spoon rest (my old one died a painful death) and it's so cute. Its from Cost Plus but has found a new home here.

I love it because it can hold more than one spoon, great for when you have multiple pots brewin'. Do you need a multi-spoon rest? Check out these other below from Amazon and Bed, Bath and Beyond.

While I was searching for spoon rests I stumbled a crossed these knife rests. They would look beautiful on a formal table.  Does anyone have these or think they would be perfect for your next dinner party?  I think I found a new item to search goodwill for.

tazza tuesday...

Isn't she golden?  After a long swim in the lake this past Saturday, Tazza got a bath and brush.  In the sunlight her coat shines with gold flicks.

Stay tuned for more pics of my favorite pup on each Tuesday.

s'mores...

With summer finally here, it was a loooong time coming, now is the perfect time to put your fire-pit to use or think about adding  one to your backyard.  Check out some of my favorites below.

Fire Pit
This Old House Perfect in the middle of a grassy knoll.

Outdoor Fireplace
Better Home and Garden What kid would not love this backyard?

My house! I love my fire pit, it was a house warming gift from my parents and it is WSU themed. (Did you spot another spool? I told you they would be popping up)

storage...

A quick post...The best time to buy new storage boxes is NOW, when all the back to school dorm-room stuff is out!
I got this cute "laundry stuff" box at Target for $9.00, what a steal!  Check out these other dorm-room picks below.

friday flowers...

Pinks and reds, it can't get much better!

shed some light on it...

Before and after shots are more fun with a good "before" picture; the dramatic unveiling...  Unfortunately in this case, my before shot is lacking; hopefully you bright folks (pun intended) will get the idea.  My dinning area is a bit dark, the quest for the perfect hanging overhead fixture continues, still people always seem to gather here.  To help solve this issue I added a sideboard with some lighting.
Still dark... (like I mentioned not the best "before" picture)
Let there be light!  With two smaller lamps, the area is completely illuminated.. I love it.  The best part is I only paid for the shades, I scored the lamps for free.  One persons junk, is my treasure.  I still need an overhead fixture but, now I can truly take my time and find/make the perfect one.

(On a side note, I'm working on taking better pictures!)

look at these beauties...

It's obvious I'm getting old because I have been so excited about getting my own washer and dryer!  Look at these beauties!
This past year, I have been hauling (literally) all of my laundry to my parents house (thanks M&D)... not a fun task.  After moving them in, these puppies are big, we have decided to move the wall so they sit flush with the cabinetry (future "winter" project).

Wouldn't a runner look so cute in this space? Maybe a teal wall? This space is now in need of some styling...keep the ideas coming!

things to celebrate...

As you all know, there have not been too many posts as of late.  One of the reasons is, many of my projects are for the upcoming wedding of one of my nearest and dearest friends!
The beautiful bride and me in Chelan for a memorable bachelorette party!

The wedding invites were done by a very talented friend of the Bride and Groom (and mine), Brent Gariano.  I cant give too much away as the big day approaches...

but here is a sneak peek of the MOH bouquet and the brides toes during our mock-up!
There is truly a lot to celebrate... Please check back for more pictures of the wedding.

stumped no longer...

I have an ongoing project in my backyard, and although it's not pretty now the impact will be huge when its done.

We used a stump grinder to grind the stump down... what a messy process!

Tazza agrees, this is much better...

gone missing...

Sorry no new posts have made it onto the blog lately... Believe it or not the reason has not been for lack of projects!  I promise many more posts to follow shortly, there are several things to celebrate in the near future!
